KACITA Women Enterprenuers’ League (KAWEL) is a distinguished membership-based private not-for-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of women across various sectors, including trade, agriculture, manufacturing, digital and information technology, exportation, and importation. Founded on 7th May 2015 and formally registered in 2017, KAWEL's core objective is to equip women with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their businesses.
By offering capacity-building programs, investment opportunities, market access, networking, lobbying, and advocacy, KAWEL aims to foster the development of viable business ideas, encourage value addition, promote cottage industries, and facilitate access to finance. KAWEL is strategically positioned to broaden its impact by creating a more inclusive and dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem that empowers women to thrive in their respective industries.

Our mission is to empower and support women in various industries across Uganda by providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities to excel in their businesses.
Through our capacity-building programs, investment opportunities, market access initiatives, networking platforms, lobbying efforts, and advocacy campaigns, we aim to cultivate viable business ideas, promote value addition, support cottage industries, and facilitate access to finance for women entrepreneurs.
